Our Story

Little Sprouts began as small daycare home in Elmhurst in 1995.  The quality infant and childcare I offered became well known in a very short time.  As a former pediatric nurse, mother of six, and former La Leche League Leader, I was able to bring a blend of professional and practical knowledge.  Long waiting lists were common.  Little Sprouts provided premium care that was difficult to find. Unable to keep up with the demand, Little Sprouts transferred its home to our commercial location at 324 N. York.

In the spring of 2009, Little Sprouts upgraded its facility and downsized its capacity by returning to a home setting, this time working with a DCFS group license.  This present location has an enrollment capacity for 16 children, 12 of whom may be between the ages of six weeks and six years.  The four additional spaces are reserved for primary school children after school or during the summer months.

I believe that a professional quality preschool offered in a home-like atmosphere is how we achieve the best of both worlds.  Little Sprouts will exceed your expectations in learning and childcare.
